We ensure that our people are fully trained for what they do, and are equipped with the right tools and protection to do it safely. However, we are never complacent and continuously review our operations and refresh our training and communications.
Similarly, we are rigorous about our procedures to protect the environment. Naturally we comply with all local legislation, and indeed exceed it.

This begins by being on the ground. Trident’s project teams, together with their families, relocate in-country and become part of the local community.
Our operations provide high-quality employment for local people, and we invest in them with training to develop their skills. Where possible, we try to buy goods and services locally and deliver further benefits to the local economy.
We favour a tripartite approach, with the company, the state authorities and the local people all pooling effort, time, skills and investment to create vibrant programmes that benefit us all.

- A national institute for technology, in partnership with other energy companies, to train young people over a seven-year programme in the skills needed to work in the energy industry.
