Trident Energy’s Charity Initiatives 2023

An important characteristic of Trident Energy is to contribute to the communities where we operate and be a force for positive change.

Throughout May, June and July, we teamed up across the globe to celebrate World Environment Day by volunteering at local schools, communities and organizations and to compete in our annual charity fitness challenge.

World Environment Day 2023

In the UK…

The London team took part in their World Environment Day volunteering event on 31st May 2023.

Held at the WWT London Wetland Centre, our team spent the day reprofiling the bank to the pond in their Kakadu exhibit, learning more about the center and its important work as well as meeting some new animal friends along the way!

In Brazil…

Between the 1st - 7th June, the Brazil team participated in a week- long celebration of World Environment Day!

Highlights include: Several fascinating talks on ESG to an Ecological Hike in the Catacumbas's Park to a Round Table where the team listened to speakers from IBAMA, IBP, and OceanPact. The activities generated a number of conversations on climate action and how we can all make a positive contribution.

In Equatorial Guinea…

On Thursday 29th June, the team visited La Fe - a local deaf school.

The day started with a short speech from the HR Manager, on how parental involvement in a child’s education is important, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). With Trident Energy providing children with lunch, snacks, and drinks to fuel the day, there was plenty of playtime and dancing which brought a lot of fun for everyone! School supplies were distributed for everyone, and the day concluded with a team presentation on how to care for the environment which ended with a group cleaning the surrounding area to serve as an example.

Charity Fitness Challenge 2023

This year, over 100 employees participated in a companywide fitness challenge raising money for charity.

Each team across our three countries, tracked their exercise minutes using the Strava app, and the team with the most minutes at the end won.

For a week, seven teams made up of employees from different departments and countries competed with the winning team completing over 11,000 minutes of exercise!

A big thank you to everyone who supported, participated and contributed! You #RockTheRocks
