Trident Energy is pleased to announce the closing of the acquisition from Petrobras of the Pampo & Enchova clusters offshore Brazil.

Initially developed by Petrobras in the 80’s the 10 concessions (Enchova, Enchova Oeste, Marimbá, Piraúna, Bicudo, Bonito, Pampo, Trilha, Linguado and Badejo) are located in the shallow part of the Campos Basin, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The fields still produce in excess of 22kBOPD from 4 platforms (PPM-I, PCE-1, P-8 and P-65 ) and the associated subsea developments. Trident Energy becomes the operator of these concessions with a 100% interest.

A large number of attractive projects to increase the production, rejuvenate the assets and extend the life of these fields have been identified, which have enabled the ANP to grant the extension of all the concessions, as part of the assignment to Trident Energy.

This acquisition marks the entry of Trident Energy in Brazil and is in line with its strategy to acquire and operate large mid-life assets globally.

This is a major milestone for Trident Energy, after the successful takeover of the Ceiba & Okume fields in Equatorial Guinea in 2017. While adding another world class asset to its portfolio, Trident Energy’s international growth will bring many new exciting opportunities.

This is a transformational acquisition and a tremendous achievement for the Trident Energy team!
