Trident Energy's role
We have been supporting local communities through funding, upgrading facilities, and donating sports kits, aiming to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the youth
Following Equatorial Guinea’s co-hosting of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, the country has seen substantial growth in sports development, particularly in football and basketball. We have been supporting local communities through funding, upgrading facilities, and donating sports kits, aiming to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the youth.

In 2024, we invested over $45,000 in sports programs, with key initiatives including: Bata Schools League: A $10,000 donation in February 2024 covered league costs for over 100 children and funded training uniforms through the Ukomba Sports Club, focusing on:
• providing sports opportunities for disadvantaged children;
• nurturing talent;
• instilling sportsmanship values; and
• promoting healthy habits and team spirit.
In March 2024, we provided training materials and new jerseys to the local basketball team, Villaes.
In late 2024, the Udubandjolo community celebrated the reopening of their refurbished basketball court, thanks to our support. The updated facility now offers a safe space for young people to play basketball. The opening was marked by an inaugural game between young players and
Trident Energy teams. By investing in inclusive sports programs, we aim to empower the next generation, strengthen community connections, foster sportsmanship and encourage healthy habits.
